and the Premise Alert System that we rolled out in Pennsylvania in 2008
Nonverbal
Communication Boards
Our communication board was created as a tool to assist Police Officers and
Emergency
Professionals in interacting with any individual for whom clear
speech is difficult or impossible.
Target populations include: - Autism
- Developmental disabilities or mental retardation
- Spoken language disorders
- Poor
articulation due to cerebral palsy, stroke, traumatic injury, etc.
- Non-English Speaking persons
- Individuals
who are deaf
- Patients with Alzheimer's or similar syndromes.
- Lost or frightened children
